Mark Greenlaw, a father to three children and resident of Biddeford, Maine, came up with the idea to sell the rights to his neck space to help support his growing family in early January. The auction to have his neck tattooed was quickly seen by tens of thousands of people and attracted media interest with radio show appearances and newspaper mentions across the country before it came to the attention of Globat.com.

“At Globat.com, we love inventive ideas like Mark’s,” said Ben R. Neumann, President and CEO of Globat.com. “Our company helps people promote, develop, and host business ideas 24 hours a day, and we think Mark gives us a great way to demonstrate our love of fresh ideas. We also think this represents the ultimate in brand loyalty!”

Hello, I wanted to write a short little message to you all...well, it has been a few days since I got the tattoo, but boy, did the first day hurt! A little over two hours of having a needle drilled on me in the back of my neck - gotta love it!

Well so far, people love it. I have had a few people ask how they can go ahead and run a auction like mine, which is great. A lot of other people are just amaze that I would sell a portion of my skin to get inked.

What do you think? Let me know...I would love to hear from you.
