After months of training, Jonathan and Carrie left Denver on June 8th and started the trip of a lifetime that took them through Washington D.C., New York City, New Jersey and Amsterdam before arriving in Tanzania on June 23rd. After some final preparations, Jonathan and Carrie reached the top of the 19,340-foot mountain, the tallest point in Africa, on July 1st, and celebrated Globat.com’s sponsorship of the trek by planting the company’s flag at the top. Jonathan also took the opportunity to climb a different type of mountain by proposing to Carrie, who happily accepted.
